The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 25 ANDERSON, James Therador WWII James was born on March 14, 1924 in Melfort, Saskatchewan. He joined the Army and served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany during World War II. After the war, he served with the British Army for three years before returning to Canada on February 21, 1950 with his wife and two children. Seven more children were born to James and his wife Gerda who still live in the St. Brieux area. James farmed and operated a grader for the rural municipality until he retired. He has been a member of Pleasantdale Legion Branch 227 for fifty-three years. ANDERSON, Sigmn Charles Leonard WWII Sigmn was born in 1913 in Carnduff, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army on April 9, 1941 and served during World War II in Canada, Great Britain and Northwest Europe. He received his honourable discharge on November 30, 1945 and was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. ANNETTS, Martha WWII Martha enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in March 1943 and went to Guelph, Ontario to train as a cook. She was posted to Paulson, Manitoba and discharged in late 1945.
