The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 245 HUNTER, George Moulding WWII George was born in Govan, Saskatchewan in 1912. He received his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan prior to enlisting in the Royal Canadian Army. He was stationed in England from 1939 to 1945 and advanced to the rank of Major. George married in England before returning to Canada and when he was settled back in Canada, he pursued a career in engineering. He and his family resided in Lachine, Québec and Caracas, Venezuela. He and his wife retired in Georgetown, Ontario. George died in 1999. HUNTER, Harold Austin WWII Harold was born on November 27, 1924 in Govan, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1944 and served as a rear gunner while being part of many operational trips while stationed in England. He returned to Canada in 1945, married and raised two sons while farming in the Tisdale area for many years. Harold passed away in Saskatoon in January 1977. HUNTER, Harold James WWII Harold was born in 1924 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He joined the Canadian Navy and served from February 1943 to May 1945 on HMCS Naden, Protector, Stadacona and Cape Breton. Harold returned to Moose Jaw where he worked for a short time then upgraded his education to grade 12. He graduated in 1951 from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario and practiced veterinary medicine in Regina until he passed away on December 24, 1980. Harold was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, probably in Regina.
