The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 243 HUDON, R. G. PEACETIME R. G. Hudon was born on March 20, 1936 in Armley, Saskatchewan. He enlisted on October 28, 1959 and served in Canada as a Leading Aircraftman until he left the service on October 27, 1964. He married and is a member of the Nutana Legion Branch 362. HUKEE, Raymond Edwin WWII Raymond was born in 1921 in Semans, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and received his bomber training in Nova Scotia. From there, he was stationed in Yorkshire, England with 434 Bluenose Squadron where he was the Flight Sergeant of a Halifax bomber. On November 20, 1943, Raymond’s plane crashed near Monchengladbach after being shot down by a German night fighter while on a mission to Leverskusen. Raymond was captured and transferred to Stalag 4B in Muhlbergon-Elbe, Germany. He spent 18 months as a prisoner of war and was liberated by the Russian Red Army on April 23, 1945. Raymond received five medals for his service throughout his military career. He was a member of Legion Branch 1 for fortyseven years before he passed away in 1999. HUNTER, D. W. WWII D. W. Hunter was born in Saskatoon on December 23, 1919. He enlisted on July 2, 1940 and served during World War II with 16/22 Light Horse. Sergeant Hunter left the service on August 14, 1946. He married and has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362.
