The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 235 HOGG, Norman R. WWII Norman was born in 1920. He enlisted in the Army on December 4, 1941 and entered Europe five days after D-Day. He served in France, Belgium and Germany and was awarded the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-45. Norman died in 1994. HOLDER, Mervin Kenneth WWII Mervin was born in December 1924 in Davidson. He joined the Army in the summer of 1942 but he wouldn’t be 18 until December. He wanted to join with his friends so he asked his parents to sign his papers. Mervin was shipped overseas after training and was on the front lines for ten months, serving in England, France, Germany and Belgium. Mervin was a member of Prince George Legion Branch until 1994. He passed away in May of that year. HOLLIDAY, Orval WWII Orval was born in 1906 in Plumas, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on May 13, 1943 and was discharged on November 12, 1945. Orval passed away in 1986.
