He enlisted in the Antitank Division in June 1941 and served in England and France before being discharged in June 1945. Ken was the fifth of six siblings to enlist in World War II. Vaughn, Jack, Harold, Charles, Ken and Carl all served their country between 1940 and 1945. HAY, Vaughn WWII Vaughn was born in 1915 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. He was working for Standard Motors when he enlisted in Swift Current in September 1940. He served in England, Italy and France and returned home safely as a Corporal in October 1945. Vaughn married Gladys in 1946 and they had five children. In the 1960s, he founded Home Town Service with Harold Moritz. Vaughn passed away in 1994. He was the first of six siblings to enlist for World War II. Vaughn, Jack, Harold, Charles, Ken and Carl all served their country between 1940 and 1945. HEMENWAY, Lester Lloyd WWII Lester joined the Army and served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe with the 36th Company during World War II.
