The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 225 HAY, Charles WWII Charles was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in June 1941 with the Anti-tank Division and served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Upon his return home from the service, he married in 1946 and spent the next 32 years working for Busse Brothers Hardware before he retired in 1978. He passed away in 2002. Charles was the fourth of six siblings to enlist in World War II. Vaughn, Jack, Harold, Charles, Ken and Carl all served their country between 1940 and 1945. HAY, Harold WWII Harold was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and was stationed throughout Canada without serving overseas. He was discharged at the end of the war in 1945. Harold was the third of six siblings to enlist for World War II. Vaughn, Jack, Harold, Charles, Ken and Carl all served their country between 1940 and 1945. HAY, Jack WWII Jack was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Antitank Division on December 8, 1940 and saw active duty in England and France where he was wounded. He was discharged in September 1945 and married Dorothy in 1946. Jack farmed the family farm north of town before working in the oil field. He passed away in 1998. Jack was the second of six siblings to enlist for World War II. Vaughn, Jack, Harold, Charles, Ken and Carl all served their country between 1940 and 1945.
