The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 209 GIBBONS, Anthony John WWII Anthony was born in 1919 in Horizon, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army on July 10, 1940 and served in Canada, Britain and Northwest Europe with the Royal Canadian Engineers in World War II. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the 1939-45 Star. Anthony was a Life Member of Viceroy Legion Branch 231 before he passed away in 2013. GILBERT, Norman WWII Norman was born on February 28, 1921. He joined the Army on May 2, 1941 and served as a Sergeant with the Queen’s Own Highlanders in World War II. He was discharged in 1945. Norman passed away on May 22, 1987. GINTHER, Sefrin H. “Sef” RCMP Sef joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on April 18, 1950. He was stationed in Nipawin from 1955 to 1957 and served as Superintendent. Sef was awarded the Maltese Cross St. John’s Commander. He left the service on January 4, 1990.
