He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and spent the war as a pilot and instructor of gunners and bombardiers in England, returning to Carnduff in 1945. Basil passed away in 2012. FOSSENEUVE, Charles Joseph WWII Charles was born on June 6, 1917. He joined the Army in 1942 and served as a Gunner in the Royal Canadian Artillery until his discharge in 1946. Charles passed away on September 12, 2008. FOSSENEUVE, Frank WWII Frank joined the Army and served as a Gunner with the 13th Field Unit of the Artillery during World War II.
