He served as Leading Aircraftman with the ground crew until his discharge in January 1946. FEINDELL, Lewis Leslie WWII Lewis was born on September 25, 1924 in Semans, Saskatchewan. He was a farm labourer before enlisting in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Regina and he trained in Calgary, Brandon, Gimli and Winnipeg. Serving overseas, he was an upper gunner killed on active duty on April 27, 1944. He was among the crew of a Lancaster bomber reported missing from night operations at Schweinfurt. Lewis is buried in the Landeville Churchyard in Haute-Marne, France at Grave 5. He was engaged to be married at the time of his death. Feindell Lake in Saskatchewan was named after him. FERGUS, Robert Chalmors Morrison WWI Robert was born on December 22, 1886. He joined the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in 1915 and served with the 2nd McGill Regiment in World War I. Sergeant Fergus was awarded the Military Medal for Bravery in the Field on September 30, 1917. He died on October 22, 1946 and is buried in an unmarked grave in the Saskatoon Legion Cemetery. Robert lived in Carlea, Saskatchewan.
