He joined the Army and served with the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders in World War II. He was killed in action in 1944, a few months before his younger brother Herman was killed. DOBELL, Robert G. WWII Robert joined the Army in 1941 and served in the Canadian Army Postal Corps in Montreal, Quebec. He was discharged in 1945. DODDS, John A. WWII John was born on February 15, 1914 in Expanse, Saskatchewan. He enlisted on February 12, 1942 and served with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe. He was a Sergeant when he left the service. John married and was a Life Member of The Legion.
