The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 13 ADAMS, Vernon Victor WWII Vernon was born on April 4, 1919. He served in the Royal Canadian Engineers as a Sapper from 1940 to 1945. Vernon was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the Great Britain Medal. Vernon passed away on July 10, 2004. ADAMSON, John Eldon WWII John joined the Army and served with the Cameron Highlanders from 1940 to 1945 during World War II. He was wounded in action on August 14, 1944 and transferred to a hospital in England where he recuperated until his discharge. ADOLF, Milton Eugene WWII & KOREA Milton was underage when he managed to enlist shortly after WWII began. Serving with the Regina Rifles Regiment and the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, he was part of the D-Day attack in France and was awarded the Military Medal for saving the life of two of his comrades. In the early 1950s, he re-enlisted and served in Korea.
