He joined the Army on April 9, 1942 and was discharged on March 27, 1946. Private Cooper served with the Prince Albert Volunteers in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and the Mediterranean. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Italy Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. Richard passed away on May 31, 1987. COPELAND, David Dinsdale WWII David was born on October 13, 1926. He enlisted in the Canadian Army and served as a Private in the Infantry from June to November 1944. COPELAND, Gordon Hector WWII Gordon was born in October 1918 in Melfort. He joined the Saskatchewan Regiment in 1939 and did his basic training in Regina and advanced training in Winnipeg. Private Copeland was discharged in 1945. Gordon died in 1985 and is buried in the Mabel Hill Cemetery.
