The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 107 CARTER, George Harrison WWII George was born on December 7, 1889. He joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force in 1914 and served as Staff Sergeant with the Canadian Army Medical Corps, 10th Field Ambulance, and the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. Discharged in 1919, George was awarded the Military Medal, the War Medal and the Victory Medal. He passed away on July 7, 1958. CHABOYER, Cyril WWII Cyril joined the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in World War II and served as a Lance Corporal with the Saskatoon Light Infantry (Machine Gun) and the 2nd Canadian Infantry Division. Cyril served in the United Kingdom and in Northwest Europe. CHARTIER, Wellwood Eugene WWII Wellwood was born in 1919. He joined the Royal Canadian Engineers in World War II and served as a Sapper until he was killed in action on July 30, 1944 at the age of 25. He is buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Nipawin.
