The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 101 CANN, George WWII George was born in 1919. He joined the Air Force in World War II and was shot down on November 4, 1942. His grave can be found at the Alexandria Hadra War Memorial Cemetery in Egypt. CAPLETTE, Eli WWII & KOREA Eli, from Meadow Lake, joined the Army and served as a Corporal with the Regina Rifle Regiment during World War II and in Korea. CARBERT, Robert E. WWII Robert enlisted in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve in 1943 and served as a Signalman during World War II. He enlisted at HMCS Unicorn in Saskatoon, went to signal school in Ste. Hyacinthe, Quebec then to HMCS Stadacona in Halifax. He was posted to HMCS Trentonian in Quebec and did training exercises in Bermuda and then was on submarine patrol in the North Atlantic. Robert was transferred to HMCS Nadine in Victoria and patrolled the Canadian west coast. He was released in 1945
