BUMBY, John Forrest “Jack” WWII Jack was born in Glenbow, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on October 27, 1941 and served as an AC2 (mechanic) in Canada for the duration of the war. He was discharged on September 11, 1945 but continued in the military for twenty years until his retirement in Richmond, BC. Jack married Eunice Udell of Viscount, SK and they raised six children. They have both since died. Jack was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was also a member of Viscount Legion Branch 271. BURR, Edward WWI Edward was born on March 19, 1878 in Markham, ON. He was a farmer from Viscount, SK and had a brother, Joseph, also from Viscount. Before enlisting in the Army in Saskatoon, SK on May 24, 1916, he had served four years as G.G. Bodyguard. Edward was discharged on December 25, 1916.
