The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 441 WILLIAMSON, Lesley “Les” WWII Les was born in Plunkett, Saskatchewan and attended the Badger School. He joined the Army and served in World War II. His cousin, Allan Williamson, also enlisted. Les married after the war was over. WILLIAMSON, Perley WWII Perley was born on August 30, 1912 in Plunkett, Saskatchewan and he took his schooling at Badger School. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in the spring of 1942. His cousin, Allan Williamson, also enlisted. Perley stayed on the home farm after the war to help his dad. In 1950, he married Mabel Lamming whose brother, Ernest, had also enlisted. Perley and Mabel have acreage near Porcupine Plain and are retired. WINTERS, Lyall WWII Lyall was born in Young, Saskatchewan and he attended school there. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served in World War II. His two brothers also enlisted, Stanley in the Navy and Wellesley in the Army. Lyall raised four children with his wife, Betty, and he has since passed away.
