VAN ALLAN, William WWII William served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army during World War II. He is a member of Viscount Legion Branch 271 and had transferred from Aneroid Legion Branch 85. VANHOUWE, Andrew “Andy” WWII Andy was born on March 29, 1920 in Plunkett, Saskatchewan. He took his schooling in Viscount, finished in Plunkett and helped on the farm until he enlisted. He joined the Army and served with the 32nd Light Anti-Aircraft Battery during World War II. His brother, Henry, also enlisted. After his discharge, Andy married Phyllis Vases and they raised three children. He continued farming until he retired.
