The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 415 TITMAN, Frederick George “Fred” BOER WAR & WWI Fred was born in Wandsworth, London, England on August 25, 1880. He served in the Army in the Boer War from 1901 and was discharged in 1903. He had previously served in South Africa with the 7th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry and was underage at the time. Fred was a traveling salesman when he signed up for World War I in Saskatoon, SK on May 12, 1917. He served in France with the Army’s 53rd Black Watch then was discharged in 1918. Fred married Susan Deosaghy and they raised five children. He moved his family out to Saskatchewan’s Meacham area where he farmed until he retired before moving once again to Saskatoon. He passed away on November 24, 1959. TODD, Henry WWI Henry was born in Leith, Scotland on June 17, 1894. He had the same address as his father, David Young Todd, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and had been a clerk prior to enlisting. He joined the Army on March 4, 1916 and served overseas with the 96th Battalion. Henry is listed in the March 2, 1917 edition of The Viscount Sun as one of the men who had enlisted from Saskatchewan’s Viscount District. TURNER, B. L. WWI B. L. served in the Army in World War I. He is listed in the March 2, 1917 edition of The Viscount Sunas one of the men who enlisted from the Viscount District. B.L. was a charter member of the Viscount B.P.O. Elks #161.
