He joined the Canadian Army and served as a Corporal in Canada, England, Sicily, Italy, Holland, and Germany during World War II. He married, had 6 children, and was a farmer as well as a heavy duty machine operator. Frank was a member of Spalding Legion Branch 348 for a number of years before he died in 1997. He is buried in Englefeld Cemetery, Saskatchewan. PERRY, John WWII John was born in 1915 to Herbert and Alice Perry in Prince Albert, SK. In 1929, they moved from Prince Albert to Wheatley, north of P.A., where they stayed until 1938. He joined the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps and served as a rifleman in Europe with the Regina Rifle Regiment. John was killed in action in Normandy, France on June 13, 1944. His two brothers, Cecil and Irving, also enlisted as well as his brother-in-law, James Hiltz. John is buried in the Bénysur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery near Reviers, Calvados, France and a geo-memorial, Perry Lake, located northeast of Uranium City at (74N9) 59o 44’ 108o 29’ was named in his honour. PERRY, William WWI William served in the Army during World War I and he is listed as one of the men from the Viscount/Plunkett district of Saskatchewan who had served their country. This was noted in the March 2, 1917 edition of The Viscount Sun.
