He joined the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve and served as Chief Petty Officer and Shipwright on an aircraft carrier in Canada and in the North Atlantic. John married and had 2 children. He died in 1987 and is buried in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens in Cedar, British Columbia. PADDLE, Reginald H. WWI & WWII Reginald was born in Beccles, England in 1899. He served in the Canadian Army’s Medical Service in Canada, England and Europe during WWI and as an orderly in Canada at the Dafoe Air Training School during WWII. Reginald married and had 5 children. He died in 1985 and is buried in Somenos Cemetery in Duncan, British Columbia. PADDLE, Violet WWII Violet was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1926. She joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps and served in Canada from 1944-1946. Violet married, had three children, and now lives in Duncan, British Columbia.
