The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 299 MUNDELL, Wesson WWI Wesson and his brother, Alfred, enlisted in the Army in 1915 and served during World War I. Wesson went to school at Eltham, southwest of Plunkett, Saskatchewan. After his discharge in 1918, Wesson went farming in the Leroy, SK area and raised eight children with his wife, Pearl Brumwell. MURDOCK, Raymond Henry WWII Raymond was born in Semans, Saskatchewan in 1912. He farmed at Clair, Saskatchewan before joining the Royal Canadian Air Force and serving as a bomb aimer in Canada and England during World War II. Flight Sergeant Murdock died in a training accident in 1943 and he was buried in Haverhill, England. MURRAY, Mervyn WWII Mervyn was born in Blucher, SK on September 10, 1922. He moved from Blucher to the Easterlea district, north of Viscount in 1926 and attended the Easterlea School from grade 1-10, then completed his last two years of high school in Viscount. He attended Normal School in Saskatoon before joining the Royal Canadian Air Force where he was an instructor for two and a half years. He then returned to teaching at Lucasville, another country school. Teaching was his life. He married Mona Clouston, who also taught, and they both live in Saskatoon now.
