The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 293 MORRIS, Murney Wilbert WWII Murney was born on November 24, 1914 in Belleville, ON and worked as a farm hand in the Viscount, SK area until he joined the Army on January 16, 1943. He served as a Private with the 2MAAC COF in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany and was discharged in 1945. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star. After the war, he farmed at Paddockwood, SK then worked with the Department of Natural Resources as a towerman until his retirement. Murney raised four children with his wife Iris Porchet and Northside was his home until he passed away on December 17, 1992. He was a member of Viscount Legion Branch 271. MOSLIN, Edward WWI Edward was born in England in 1887 and came to Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1906. He joined the Canadian Army during World War I and served as a Sergeant in Canada and France with the 65th Overseas Battalion. He married and had two children. Edward died in 1944 and is buried at the St. Michael’s country churchyard. MOSLIN, Edward KOREA Edward was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1928. He was in the Naval Reserves for 30 years and served with the Department of National Defence as Chief Steward on the Endeavour in Canada and Korea. Edward also did deep sea research until 1992.
