The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 287 MORELLI, Jordan Edwin PEACETIME Jordan was born on April 11, 1974 in Saskatoon, SK. On June 5, 1992, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in Kingston, ON and served as a Lieutenant in Canada before being discharged in August 1996. He is the grandson of Ed Morelli and is currently teaching at Queen’s University and at the Royal Military College in Kingston. Jordan is a member of Viscount Legion Branch 271 and has been a second vice-president. MORIN, John O. WWI John joined the Army and served as a Private in Europe with the 50th Battalion of the Royal Canadian Infantry, Alberta Regiment. He was awarded the Military Medal. He was killed in action in Europe on November 1, 1918 and is buried in the Aulnoy Communal Cemetery, Nord, France. His name is among those listed in the March 2, 1917 edition of The Viscount Sunas having served his country. MORIN, Joseph D. “Joe” WWI Joe was born in Illinois, USA and migrated to Canada in 1906. In February 1913, he began homesteading at Viscount, Saskatchewan. He married Beatrice Lee of Blucher in 1918 and raised three children. After serving in the Army during World War I, Joe was a grain buyer at Blucher and they lived at Elstow, and then for a time, he bought grain at Blackfoot, AB. They returned to Viscount in 1951 and lived with his sister, Helen Rauckman. Joe died on December 20, 1954.
