The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 283 MOEN (nee YOUNG), Rachel Jean WWII Rachel was born in Viscount, SK and went to school there. She attended Technical College in Saskatoon prior to enlisting in the Women’s Division of the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and serving as a clerk accountant at several Royal Canadian Air Force bases across Canada. After her discharge in Nova Scotia in 1945, she worked as an office manager at Mills Brothers Women’s Store in Halifax. Rachel married Carl Moen and they raised four children, living where her husband’s career took them, to various locations across the United States. Rachel is currently living in Texas near her family. MOFFAT, A. T. WWII A. T. served as a Captain in World War II. He was a member of Fillmore Legion Branch 299 and then transferred to Viscount Legion Branch 271 in 1958. He was a United Church minister and was married with three children. MOORE, Lloyd WWII Lloyd was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan. His uncle, Walter Beaton, enlisted in World War I and Lloyd joined the Army in Winnipeg, MB and served in WWII. His dad was a grain buyer for Pioneer Grain in Viscount until the family moved to Winnipeg in 1922. Lloyd passed away in 1977.
