The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 267 McKOSKI, Charles “Charlie” WWII Charlie moved to Viscount, Saskatchewan with his parents and sister in 1919. His dad was section foreman for the Canadian Pacific Railway. Charlie joined the Army and served in World War II. He married and was residing in Edmonton, Alberta. McLEAN, Charles E. WWI Charles was born on a homestead near Young, Saskatchewan and attended country schools in the area. He joined the Army and served as a Lance Corporal in World War I. His name is listed on the Honour Roll in the March 2, 1917 issue of The Viscount Sun. McWILLIE, Robert George WWII Robert was born in Plunkett, SK on June 14, 1925. He joined the Army and served as a dispatch rider with the Regina Rifle Regiment in Continental Europe. Following the war, Robert worked for the government’s military, later returning to Canada and working as a power linesman in various locations. He was selected as an international representative for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and dealt with labour matters throughout Canada, operating out of Saskatoon, SK. Robert raised six children with his wife, Helen Grower, and he died on April 25, 2009.
