The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 265 McINTYRE, John Brodie “Jack” WWI Jack was born in Campbelltown, Scotland on March 23, 1893. With his brother, Archie, he came to Saskatchewan in 1907 to homestead in the Viscount area. He was a shipper by trade prior to being drafted in the Army in Regina on October 3, 1917. He served with 12 M.D. 1st Depot Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment and he was killed in action. Jack’s father was Alexander. McKINNON, Angus John WWI John was born on May 9, 1892 in Red Jacket, SK. He homesteaded with his parents, Donald David and Mary McKinnon, in the Plunkett, SK district. He joined the Army in Saskatoon, SK on October 28, 1917 and served as a Private with 12 M.D. 1st Depot Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment. He was discharged in 1918 and died of the flu on November 16 of the same year. McKINNON, Dan WWII Dan farmed in the Logan district, south of Viscount, Saskatchewan and he loved playing the violin. He joined the Army and served during World War II.
