The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 249 MAGUIRE, Lloyd Victor WWII Lloyd joined the Army on July 2, 1940 and served as a Lance Corporal in Canada, England, France and Germany with the RC Signal Unit. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, and the Defence Medal. After his discharge on September 28, 1945, he lived in Viscount, SK and worked as a mechanic. He was a member of Viscount Legion Branch 271 and was originally with the Collingwood Legion Branch 48 in Vancouver, BC. MANSON, Fergus WWI Fergus was born on December 29, 1881 in Evanton, Ross-Shire, Scotland. He joined the Army on April 17, 1916 in Saskatoon, SK. Before enlisting, Fergus was a single farmer from the Watrous area and he had served two years with the Seaforth Highlanders Volunteers. His father’s name is given as Andrew Manson, also of Watrous. MANSON, Ross WWII Ross was born in 1917. He farmed around the north side of Little Manitou Lake and raised four children with his wife, Margaret Baker. Ross joined the Army and served during World War II. He passed away after 1983.
