His three brothers, Ernie, Frank and Jim, enlisted in the Army while he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. Bill lives in Kelowna, BC with his wife Ellen. LaBRASH, George Edward WWI George was born in Maple Island, Ontario on September 16, 1896. His mother is listed as Elizabeth Clara LaBrash. Prior to enlisting, he spent one year with the 23rd Infantry in Ontario and one year with the 29th Infantry in Saskatchewan. He joined the Army on March 16, 1916 in Saskatoon, SK and served as a Private during World War I. George is on Viscount and Young’s Honour Roll. He was an assistant postmaster in Viscount, SK and he has passed away. LACEY, Arthur WWI Arthur was born on June 26, 1887 in Wantage, Berkshire, England. He was a teamster on railroad construction and was working at Hythe, near Grande Prairie, before he joined the Army in Edmonton, AB on September 15, 1916. His father, Frank Lacey, was living in Viscount, SK at that time. Arthur has passed away.
