The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 215 KOLSTAD, Gustaf “Gus” WWII Gus was born in Viscount, SK in 1917. He was raised on a farm north of Viscount and was one of five siblings who enlisted to serve in World War II. After his discharge from the Royal Canadian Navy, Gus became a teacher and in 1976, he retired from school administration. He presently lives in in White Rock, BC with his wife, Helen. KOLSTAD, Les WWII Les was born in Viscount, SK and grew up on the family farm, just north of there. He was one of five siblings who enlisted for duty. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in World War II. KONRAD, Harold WWII Harold was born in Viscount, SK. He attended Morris School and helped his parents’ farm south of there. Harold and his brother, Waldemir, both joined the Army and served in World War II, Harold serving as a Private. He has passed away.
