He helped with the farming until he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force where he served during World War II. His brother, Vaughn, also enlisted. After his discharge, he farmed in the Amazon, SK district. He married Elsie Brown, also of Poplar Park. JONES, Vaughn WWII Vaughn was born in Viscount, SK and went to school in the Poplar Park area, south of Viscount. He trained as a teacher before joining the Royal Canadian Air Force and serving in World War II. He settled in Alberta after the war. His brother, Tom, also served in WWII. JOSEPH, R. WWII R. Joseph joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served as an ordinary seaman in the Atlantic during World War II. He is listed on the Honour Roll in Viscount, Saskatchewan.
