The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 17 ANDERSON, Arthur Benjamin WWI Arthur, son of Frank O. Anderson, was born in Buxton, North Dakota, USA on March 5, 1896. Prior to joining the Army, he was a steam engineer by trade, living in Viscount, SK. Arthur enlisted on May 15, 1916 in Saskatoon, SK, served overseas with 223 Overseas Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. Arthur has passed away. ANDERSON, John “Jack” T. Sr. WWI Jack was born on Prince Edward Island in 1885. With his family, he came to the Wolverine/Plunkett area around 1904 to homestead. He served in the Army during WWI and returned to farming after his discharge. In 1936, he married Ann LaRoche, sold his land and returned to Prince Edward Island. He died in 1958. Jack and his brother, Weston, served in two different world wars. ANDERSON, John “Jack” WWII Jack was born on a farm nine miles north of Plunkett, Saskatchewan. His family was originally from Prince Edward Island. His father had enlisted in World War I and Jack served in the Army during World War II.
