He farmed in the Poplar Park area until 1983, when he and Catherine (‘Kay’ Zoney) retired to Watrous after raising six children. Cliff and his brother, William, both served in the Army during World War II. Cliff passed away in 2002. HABERMEHL, William “Bill” WWII Bill was born in Plunkett, SK in 1910. He worked as a young man and sent his wages home. Bill and his brother ,Cliff, both served in the Army during World War II. He married Florence Phillips and they had five children. He later married Madeline Feist. Bill worked in the mines at Manitouwadge, Ontario and Fraser Lake BC, where he passed away in 1967. HAINES, Dennis WWII Dennis was a farm labourer in the Viscount, Saskatchewan area when he enlisted in the Army and served as a Trooper during World War II. He took his basic training in Calgary, Alberta.
