The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 161 GUILMETTE, Arthur WWII Arthur lived with his family in Viscount, Saskatchewan and attended the local St. Alphonse School. He served during World War II. GURSKI, Peter M. “Pete” WWII Pete was born and raised on October 14, 1920 in the Auckland district of Viscount, SK and he went to school there. He joined the Army in 1942 and served as a Sergeant with the Artillery in coastal British Columbia. After his discharge in March 1946, he continued farming until his son took over the farm. Pete married Ann Yager and they raised four children. After retirement, they moved to Humboldt, SK where they still reside in their own home. GUSIKOSKI, Anthony Edward “Tony” WWII Tony was born on February 24, 1920 in Viscount, SK and he went to school in the Auckland district, just north of Viscount. He lived and worked on the farm before joining the Army in 1940 and serving in the United Kingdom. After his discharge in 1946, he married Anne Brecht and raised ten children. He farmed until 1956 then moved to work in Saskatoon, SK, first at McGavin’s Bakery then for the City of Saskatoon until he passed away in 1973.
