The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 105 DOLPHIN (nee DANIELSON), Martha Edna WWII Martha was born in Dundurn, SK in 1919. She joined the Army on April 18, 1943 and served in Canada as a Private and driver with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps. Martha taught new recruits how to drive army vehicles. Discharged on September 12, 1945, she later married Bud Dolphin and lived in the Meacham district. She was a 50-year member of Viscount Legion Branch 271. Martha passed away on August 25, 1998. DOLPHIN, William “Bill” WWII Bill was born in Meacham, SK in 1919. He helped on the farm growing up and went to school at York and Meacham. He worked at the Co-op in Saskatoon, SK before joining the Royal Canadian Air Force but he contracted rheumatic fever during his training and was discharged. Bill married Patricia Fines and they had two children. DONALDSON, Norman WWII Norman served during World War II. He was the manager of the Beaver Lumber store in Viscount, SK from 1955-56.
