The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 89 DUNVILLE, Stanley Thomas “Stan” WWII Stan was born on November 5, 1921 in Raymore, SK. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Regina on December 18, 1940 and became an aircraft fitter and later, a rigger. He served in Canada and the United Kingdom with Bomber Reconnaissance Squadrons No. 8 and No. 119 as well as No. 426 Thunderbird Bomber Squadron. On October 2, 1945, he left the service at Greenwood, NS and in 1951, married Nellie Forrest, with whom he had a son and a daughter. After the war, Stan worked as a heavy duty mechanic with Western Tractor then owned and operated a service station before becoming equipment superintendent with Asphalt Services Paving Ltd. In 1945, he joined The Royal Canadian Legion Raymore Branch (later combined with Semans Branch 108) but unintentionally let his Legion membership lapse. He then joined RCL Saskatoon Branch 63 in 1955 and is currently vice-president of 426 Thunderbird Squadron Association. DURHAM, K.J. WWII K.J. Durham was born on November 25, 1927 in Sturgis, Saskatchewan. He enlisted to serve in World War II and left the Army in August, 1945. DURNFORD, C.G. WWII C.G. Durnford was born on December 31, 1921 in Vanguard, Saskatchewan. He enlisted on June 6, 1941 and served with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. C.G. was a Signalman when he left the service on October 19, 1945. He married.
