The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 417 WORKMAN, Robert “Bob” WWII Bob was born in Plunkett, Saskatchewan, where he attended school as well as at Badger. His parents owned the hotel in Plunkett. He joined the Army to serve in World War II, as did his brother, Willis. After his discharge, he married Ellie McCullough. Bob has since died. WORKMAN, Willis WWII Willis was born in Plunkett, Saskatchewan. He took his schooling at Badger and in Plunkett, where his parents operated the hotel. Willis enlisted in the Army, as did his brother, Bob. Willis married Ethel from Kingston, Ontario and he taught school and lived in the States. YOUNG, Christopher Ronald “Chris” KOREA Chris was born in Viscount, SK where he also went to school. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1950 and saw active service in Korea. His brother, Allan, and sister, Rachel, (Mrs. Carl Moen), had also enlisted. He married Helen Hardy in 1952 and they had two children. Chris then switched to the Royal Canadian Air Force where he served until his retirement in 1975. He lived in Edmonton, AB and worked with RCMP communications.
