The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 403 WALLMAN, Bradley Dean “Brad” PEACETIME Brad was born on March 4, 1967 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, the son of Bruce and Esther (nee Knutson) Wallman. He enlisted in the Royal Regina Rifles in July 1984 and transferred to the Regular Force in April 1987. He completed basic training at Canadian Forces Recruit School in Cornwallis, NS and qualified as a Military Policeman at Canadian Forces Base Borden in Barrie, Ontario. He went on to serve at CFB Chilliwack, British Columbia; HQ Allied Forces Central Europe, Netherlands; 19 Wing, CFB Comox, BC and from 2002 to 2006, he was on security staff at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC. In 2006, he was posted to CFB Esquimalt in Victoria, BC where he lives with his wife, Sarah, and their two sons, Jacob and Thomas. Brad was awarded the Base Commander’s Commendation in April 2010 for his action in a life-saving incident. WARD, George BOER WAR George was born in England in July 1867. He served with the Second Northumberland Fusiliers in the South African Boer War from 1899 to 1902. He also saw action as a Lance Corporal in the tribal wars of India. George came to live and farm in the Lucasville district, north of Plunkett, Saskatchewan, in 1907. He married and raised two children. George died on May 26, 1937. WARICK, Frank G. WWII Frank was a high school principal in Plunkett, Saskatchewan from 1939 to 1940, the year he enlisted to serve in World War II.
