The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 391 THOEN, Norman WWII Norman was born in Viscount, SK on April 23, 1925 and he took his schooling at Morris country school, south of Viscount. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in World War II. His brothers, Edward and Oliver, also enlisted. Norman married Ruth Hamilton and they raised six daughters. He farmed all his life and just retired in 1996. He now gardens and enjoys his grandchildren. Norman was active in community activities as a Saskatchewan Wheat Pool delegate for over thirty years. THOEN, Oliver Lloyd WWII Oliver was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan and he took his schooling at Morris country school, south of Viscount. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II and his brothers, Norman and Edward, also enlisted. He married Lois Sigfusson and they lived at Wynyard. TODD, Henry WWI Henry was born in Leith, Scotland on June 17, 1894. He had the same address as his father, David Young Todd, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and had been a clerk prior to enlisting. He joined the Army on March 4, 1916 and served overseas with the 96th Battalion. Henry is listed in the March 2, 1917 edition of The Viscount Sun as one of the men who had enlisted from Saskatchewan’s Viscount district.
