The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 389 TELFER, Gordon WWII Gordon served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. He enlisted in Dundurn, Saskatchewan and served with the North Saskatchewan Regiment in numerous camps in Canada and overseas until the end of the war. After the war, Gordon worked for the Canadian National Railway. TELFER, Robert “Bob” WWII Bob joined the Army and served with the North Saskatchewan Regiment in World War II. After the war, he worked for The Star Phoenix. THOEN, Edward WWII Edward was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan and he attended the Morris country school while helping on the farm as he grew up. He served in World War II as did his brothers, Norman and Oliver. With his wife, Marj Drew, he raised three children while living and farming at Birch Hills. He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in North Battleford in 2003.
