The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 35 BOWMAN, Nelda WWII Nelda was born to Alvin and Emma (Gralke) Bowman in Plunkett, SK. She and her brother, Fred, both joined the Armed Forces. Nelda grew up in the Golden Acre area south of Carmel, SK. During her working career, she was with External Affairs in Ottawa, ON. BRADLEY (nee NUGENT), Ella WWII Ella was born in Plunkett, SK. She grew up on a farm and went to school in Plunkett. She and four of her siblings enlisted: Ed, Don and Mary in the Army, and George in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After her discharge from the Royal Canadian Navy, Ella married Len Bradley, a Shell Oil Accountant in Toronto, ON. They raised two children. Ella lives in Mississauga, Ontario. BRASH, Robert D. “Bob” WWII Bob was born in the area of Meacham, SK. He attended York School, west of Meacham, and farmed with his dad prior to enlisting in the Army in 1943. After serving overseas, he was discharged in March 1946 and continued farming until he retired. Bob and his wife, Evelyn, then moved to Saskatoon, SK. He also drove a school bus for ten years. Bob and Evelyn raised a family of three sons.
