The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 367 SCHUMAKER, Rinhold WWII Rinhold was born in Young, Saskatchewan. He took his schooling at Farina and helped on the family farm before he enlisted in the Army to serve in World War II. One of six brothers to enlist, Rinhold served overseas before being discharged and returning to farming in the Young district. Rinhold married Laura and they raised two children. Rinhold has since passed away. SCOTT, Thomas Edward WWI Thomas was born on March 27, 1895 in McKellar, ON. His father was Thomas Scott Sr. who was living at Aurora, Ontario. According to the Viscount History ‘Footprints of Time’, Volume I, T.E. Scott was a teacher at Viscount School in 1915 and 1916. He took an Officer’s Training course in Regina in March 1915 and joined the Army on July 20, 1916 in Edmonton, Alberta and served in World War I. SENKO, Alex WWII Alex was born March 15, 1921 in Guernsey, SK and he attended Badger School and worked on the farm until his enlistment. He joined the Army in 1942 and served overseas. After his discharge in 1946, he farmed for several years and also worked at a bush camp in Ontario and a dairy farm near Winnipeg, MB. In 1972, he started work on CFB Dana and was in construction engineering until he retired. He married Olga Fedorchuk and they had five children. Alex enjoyed sports very much, especially hardball.
