He joined the Army in 1944 and served as a Gunner in Canada, Holland and Germany. Discharged in 1946, Robert went to “normal” school for one year then taught school for a few years. He then got involved in helping evolve Co-op stores, eventually becoming an administrator in the LID districts of Pierceland/Goodsoil and Loon Lake, which included Rapidview/Makwa and Barthel areas. He retired from this position in 1980. Robert was a member of several RCL branches: Kyle 124, Pierceland 178, and Loon Lake 165. He died in April 2000. HONISH, Ken PEACETIME Ken was born on March 3, 1945 at Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on January 3, 1974 and was serving when this book was prepared. Ken married. HOOD, Joseph L. WWII Joseph was born in Raymore, Saskatchewan on August 20, 1922. He enlisted in November 1942 and served as a Private with the Regina Rifles Regiment in World War II until he left the service in 1946. Joseph married.
