The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 17 AUCKLAND, Donald Edgar WWII Donald was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan and attended Auckland School, north of Viscount. His father, James Victor Auckland, was the prime organizer of this country school. Donald and his brother, Reg, both joined the Royal Canadian Air Force with Donald serving overseas. AUCKLAND, Reginald Gordon “Reg” WWII Reg was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan and attended the Auckland School, north of Viscount. His parents were Victor James and Caroline (Kirkland Dixon) Auckland. Reg and his brother, Donald, both joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in World War II. AVERY, Kenneth Theodore “Ted” WWII Ken was born in Spokane, Washington on July 6, 1923 and came to Canada when he was nine months old. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers in Regina on July 10, 1943 and was a driver instructor of M.T. vehicles and universal carriers at Petawawa, Ontario before going to England. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. After his discharge on March 30, 1946, he farmed in Saskatchewan’s Wadena area. Kenneth was a member of RCL Wadena Branch 62 for many years and he died in May 1983.
