The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 183 HARNETT, Harold Roy WWII Harold was born on January 13, 1923 in Zelma, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and served during wartime and later, in the regular service. He was a Leading Aircraftman when he left the forces. HARRIS, Alfred Easton “Alf” WWII Alf was born in Colonsay, SK on October 12, 1921. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in July 1942 and was discharged in 1945. Alf operated Harris Electric with his brother, Ron, in Lloydminster, SK and retired in 1979. He was also in construction and leasehold of multi-residences and industrial warehousing until 1995. Alf raised three children with his wife, Betty, and he passed away in Lloydminster on April 11, 2008. HARRIS, Thomas Compton WWI Thomas was born on September 9, 1892 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England and came to a Saskatchewan homestead. He joined the Saskatchewan Regiment in Saskatoon on November 8, 1917 and served as a Private with the 1st Depot Battalion. Thomas died in 1943 and is interred in Maymont Cemetery, Maymont, SK.
