The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 169 HABERMEHL, Clifford J. “Cliff” WWII Cliff was born in 1920 in Plunkett, SK and went to Eltham School, just south of there. He farmed in the Poplar Park area until 1983, when he and Catherine (‘Kay’ Zoney) retired to Watrous after raising six children. Cliff and his brother, William, both served in the Armed Forces during World War II. Cliff passed away in 2002. HABERMEHL, William “Bill” WWII Bill was born in Plunkett, SK in 1910. He worked as a young man and sent his wages home. Bill and his brother ,Cliff, both served in the Armed Forces during World War II. He married Florence Phillips and they had five children. He later married Madeline Feist. Bill worked in the mines at Manitouwadge, Ontario and Fraser Lake BC, where he passed away in 1967. HADDOW, A. PEACETIME A. Haddow was born on September 15, 1933 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in May 1956 and left the service in October 1956 as AW3. She is married.
