The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 155 GOUTHER, Thomas “Tom” WWII Tom was born in Scotland on May 30, 1933. He enlisted on November 15, 1951 and served in the Royal Air Force Regiment (ground defence support for the RAF) with 2nd Tactical Air Force during the Occupation of Germany. He left the service as a Leading Aircraftman on December 3, 1953. Tom became a heavy duty welding engineer in Scotland and came to Canada in 1968, settling in Toronto, Ontario before coming to Saskatoon, where he taught welding at the Kelsey Institute. He now operates a heavy vehicle repair service. Tom married Evelyn Carrothers. GRAF, Andy WWII Andy was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan and he attended Lucasville School. With his brothers, Tom and Joe, he joined the Army and served in World War II. Andy was married to Ruth. GRAF, Joseph H. “Joe” WWII Joe was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan and he attended Lucasville School, north of Viscount. Joe and his brothers, Tom and Andy, were drafted into the Army and they served in World War II. Joe raised two girls with his wife, Rose, and he farmed for a while in Cranish Lake, east of the Lucasville area. He owned a garage in Bruno for a while before moving out to Osoyoos, BC where he bought a garage and did mechanical work.
