The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 153 GOODHEW, M. WWII M. lived in Viscount, Saskatchewan before enlisting in the Army and serving in WWII. His brother, George, also served. GORDON, William Neil WWII William was born on February 13, 1924 in Winter, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army in July 1941, served in Canada and was a Private when he left the service in April 1944. Gordon married. GOUTHER (nee CARROTHERS), Evelyn M. PEACETIME Evelyn was born on November 1, 1938 in Portage la Prairie, MB. She enlisted on December 1, 1985 and became an officer cadet in 107 Air Cadets Squadron in Saskatoon, SK. After several promotions, she became captain and officer commanding the squadron, a position she held for six years until she left the service in 1993. The reason she came to the air cadet work later than some was because she first raised a family of two sons and one daughter. Her eldest son, Leslie Wilson, was active in 702 Squadron air cadets and in 1973 when he was WO, was judged Saskatchewan’s air cadet of the year. She worked at Saskatoon City Hospital for 23 years, the 17 years before her retirement in 1996 as manager of switchboards. Tom Gouther, her husband, is also a member of RCL Nutana Branch 362.
