The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 101 ELLISON, P.P. WWII P.P. Ellison was born on June 9, 1919 in Outlook, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in October 1940, served in Europe and the Middle East and was a Flying Officer when he left the service in 1945. P.P. Ellison married. ELLIS, Robert Elwyn SPECIAL DUTY AREA & PEACETIME Robert was born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan in 1939. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with 427 and 409 Squadrons, Electronic Warfare Squadron 414 at #1 Air Division in Marville, France, West Germany, as well as with Air Defense Command in Canada. He has been a member of RCL Melfort Branch 30 for twenty years. ENTWISTLE, Herbert “Bert” SPECIAL DUTY AREA Bert was born on January 28, 1934 in Bolton, England. He served as a Corporal from 1955 to 1957 with the British Army’s Royal Engineers in the United Kingdom at Worcester, Malvern and Stratford and with the army emergency reserve from 1957 to 1962. After service, he was a carpenter in England and after coming to Canada, worked as a carpenter for thirty-eight years and served as a structural manager for the University of Saskatchewan for eight years before retiring. Bert was married and had three sons and one daughter. He has been a member of the Legion for more than twenty-five years, once played soccer and was a coach. He sings with the Georgians singing group which does many concerts at seniors’ residences, nursing homes and the Veterans home.
