The people of Saskatchewan are profoundly grateful to our current service personnel and Veterans for their courage and sacrifice in defense of our country and those unable to defend themselves. This publication is a great resource for our youth and all those interested in learning more about military history and the immense contributions of our Canadian Armed Forces to protect the freedoms we cherish as Canadians. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped to make this publication possible, including the family members of the servicemen and women profiled in this book. Your support helps the Legion to continue to fulfill its role as the “Keepers of Remembrance” as well as sustain many ongoing community activities for Saskatchewan’s Veterans and their dependants.
