Military Service Recognition Book 2 I am indeed honoured that Saskatchewan Command has asked me to provide a brief forward to this Military Service Recognition Book. As a native of Saskatchewan I am most proud of the military history of our province and the people who have served and are serving today. In this book, the fourth of its kind and the fifth published by Fenety Marketing Services for The Royal Canadian Legion in Saskatchewan, you will find the faces of those from this province who have served this great nation of Canada in its armed forces. Many of them made the supreme sacrifice during their periods of service while some of them came home and went on to be the leaders in our communities and province. They built our province with the same dedication and effort they gave to serving our country. Whatever their distinction, we owe them a debt of gratitude that cannot be repaid. In this publication we pay tribute to them by way of ensuring that they are not forgotten. In producing this book Saskatchewan Command has lived up to the aims and objects of The Royal Canadian Legion. Those who have served or are serving their nation in times of war and peace will never be forgotten because they will live on in the pages of this book. It is a tribute to them and their service to Canada. It is a tribute that is well deserved. As you leaf through these pages and look at the youthful expressions of those who served to make Canada a better place for us to live I would ask you to remember them, just as we have in The Royal Canadian Legion.
